Hierbei wird sowohl auf die Effizienz als auch auf die Wirkung der Entwicklungsprozesse fokussiert. Die Wirkung drückt sich z. B. in den zu entwickelnden Produkten aus und hat einen großen Einfluss auf die nachgelagerten Prozesse z.B. in Produktion, Montage und beim Kunden.
Lean Innovation umfasst den gesamten Entwicklungsprozess von der Innovationsstrategie, über die Ideengenerierung, die Produktarchitekturgestaltung und Entwicklung bis hin zum Ausphasen des Produktes am Ende des Lebenszyklus. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist die praxisnahe Einführung in das Thema Lean Innovation mit Blick auf eine erfolgreiche Umsetzung in allen Bereichen des Produktlebenszyklus. Das Seminar führt in das Thema Lean Innovation ein und stellt damit eine Basis für eine Umsetzung von „Lean Thinking“ im F&E-Bereich dar.
